Frequently Asked Questions
Do you teach real Kung Fu, or are you going to teach me how to shoot fireballs?
You don’t learn fireballs til the 3rd class. But seriously I was very skeptical when I first tried kung fu and had previously taken grappling, Judo, and Karate, plus my police training. I stuck with it because of its speed, adaptability and flexibility. And it’s something you can still use when you're old or injured.
Is this an open facility?
No, classes are held at a private residence. There is no public restroom. Students enter the kwoon through the back of the residence, enter the school, learn, and then go back to their lives.
What does the contract look like?
No contract. It’s $20 dollars a session, which you will pay when you come to class. We keep the price affordable so it’s accessible for everyone. Payment can be made in cash or via Apple Pay.
I'm new to Kung Fu. What's learning this form of martial arts like?
Kung Fu is a journey not a destination. Even if you learn all the moves, you still need to unlock how you will combine them, it takes time and work but it’s worth it.
What age range do you teach?
Our regular classes are offered to adults 18 and older.
We do also offer an Anti-Bullying private class for minors that starts at 12 years old and does require a waiver signed by their guardian. Some of the moves include sensitive parts of the anatomy, so minor aged students should be accompanied by a legal guardian.
I want to learn how to kick some ass! Can you teach me how?
We don’t like bullies or egos in the school. If you have a negative attitude or a chip on your shoulder, take it somewhere else. Our practice is meant for those who want to learn self-defense and the skills you learn should not be used in vain.
